Institute for Development of Knowledge Society (IRVS) allowed twenty-six young people to go abroad and participate in educational activities in twelve European and Asian countries. With the support of the European Commission, young leaders gained valuable knowledge which might help them to succeed in labour market.
Main topics of trainings and seminars were employment of youngsters, concept of European citizenship, EU institutions, Human Rights protection, corporate social responsibility (CSR), management of non-governmental organisations (NGO´s), European cooperation in the area of youth, marketing and youth activism.
Thanks to methods of non-formal education, which enable higher rate of interaction between participants and trainers, young people from all over Europe united in diversity in order to deepen their awareness about common European values and also to become familiar with cultural particularities. Fighting prejudices and cooperation are key measures to achieve mutual understanding and tolerance. Promotion of these ideas is enabled by projects organised within the Youth in Action Programme, which supports non-formal learning of young people.
Youth Development Centre of IRVS develops activities supporting youth mobility. Foreign educational events are followed by international trainings in Slovakia as well as by national projects.
Participants wrote about their training...
“I gained new practical information about project financing and about searching for partners and sponsors. Very valuable was information about specific tactics.”
Zuzana, participant of training “CSR in Modern Youthwork”, Poland

Andrej, participant of training “Cross-border Cooperation on Youth Entrepreneurship Development and Promotion”, Serbia
“I improved my English proficiency and I also extended my ability to work in multicultural teams with people having different opinions, views and experiences.”
Marek, participant of training “Fighting Poverty through Human Rights Promotion”, Italy
